    Hi I’m Jordan and I am here with Natasha and Penny, to bring you Personal Fitness!

    It has been my dream for many years to open a fitness centre. I am extremely proud and excited to be able to share with you all our boutique style gym and to welcome you to our community. I am also extremely proud to announce being the winner of the best Fitness Instructor in Cornwall, for the Muddy Stiletto’s awards 2025!

    As a personal trainer, I have over 15 years’ experience, helping people to achieve their fitness goals. Be it walking into the gym for the very first time, help with losing weight, increasing confidence, right up to improvements in sports through strength, fitness and mobility. Whatever your goal may be, I am here to guide and support you.

    Fitness and personal training is for anyone looking to improve their fitness, mobility and wellness, regardless of age - my clients range from 11 years up to 83 years young!

    Alongside my personal training, I am also qualified in many classes, such as Spinning, Boxercise and TRX- just to name a few. You will be able to find me either teaching a one-to-one session, small group sessions and classes in our studio, or behind the desk waiting to welcome you into our gym.

    I know from my years of experience working in the fitness industry, people can feel very uncomfortable in a gym environment and can find it intimidating or scary and this can put many people off from starting their fitness journey. It has always been my goal to provide an environment for people to feel comfortable and confident in.

    My wife Tash and I have been wanting to open our own business for some time. Teaming up with Penny gives us the perfect mix of expertise. We have a great balance between us, whilst all sharing the same values for fitness and really want to care for people’s wellbeing. We cannot wait to share all of this with you at Personal Fitness.

    Penny, Tash and I, are very excited to bring to you our vision and we are extremely excited to welcome you through our doors.

    Tash

    Hi everyone, I’m Tash, Jordan’s wife. Together, Jordan, Penny and I make up Personal Fitness and I am so proud to be a part of this team.

    Utilising my knowledge, skills and experience from helping to open up and run previous successful businesses for others, I am now here working alongside my husband and business partner Penny. I have worked in finance and admin roles for over 15 years in the retail, leisure & tourism industry. My experience in management, operations and focus on customer experience, will make sure that everything runs smoothly in the background! I will be working hard behind the scenes, being responsible for the day-to-day memberships, class bookings and administration for your gym at Hawksfield.

    Although you may not see me on the gym floor as much, you will often find me in the reception - I am here to help you with any questions you may have and I look forward to welcoming you through our doors of Personal Fitness.

    So, why am I here you may ask if I’m not on the gym floor or reception as much? I am going to be honest with you, I have never been your regular gym goer as I’ve always been cautious about most gym settings. I have always had little confidence or courage to step into a gym on my own and have mostly felt uncomfortable in a gym environment.

    This is why I am here. I am extremely passionate about creating a warm welcoming gym, where anyone at any fitness level from beginner through to advance, will feel at ease working out. Our range of classes and Personal Training sessions, will support you on your personal fitness journey from start to finish and can be tailored to sports specific training levels. Whatever your goals, we at Personal Fitness are here for you. We will help you build your confidence and learn how to become a happier healthier you!

    Jordan, Penny and I have come together to bring you Personal Fitness, as we all have the same understanding, drive and passion for creating an environment that you will feel comfortable in. You will have with the best knowledge at hand, whether it is about exercise or nutrition, to help you create that healthy lifestyle you are looking for.

    Penny

    Hi, I’m Penny and I was approached with the idea of opening a wellness gym at Hawksfield, where I currently run a kitchen business with my husband. The setting here is perfect and we contacted the landlord who welcomed the idea of building a brand-new facility.

    I am now 53 and married with 2 grown up children and 2 dogs. I started my fitness journey with some incredible coaches along the way, during Perimenopause. This was a very difficult time in my life and was challenging to say the least.

    Jordan approached me about Personal Fitness because of my own life journey and experiences. As well as my business background, I have a holistic nutrition course qualification and am currently completing courses in Gym Instruction, which will lead onto Personal Training Courses.

    In the meantime, we have launched our online fitness programme. So far, our team are delighted to have provided advice and guidance helping more than 50 clients work towards and reach their personal goals. Our core beliefs are working towards client’s own values, their health and fitness goals, as well as focusing on wellbeing and mental health.


    Penny

    Penny trained to be a group fitness instructor whilst working as an eye Specialist in the NHS. From a young age she has had a love for dance and has always shown a keen interest in freestyle choreography. With over 22 years of experience in the gym industry, she is level 2 qualified in Exercise to Music, is fully qualified in all of the following SH1FT programs - L1FT, M1ND, R1DE and R1ZE and is a certified BEACHBODY instructor in INSANITY, P90X and PiYo. She moved to Cornwall two years ago and in lockdown set up her online fitness group aiming to keep her friends, family and colleagues fit and healthy. In her spare time, she loves walking her dog Ralph along the coast path and is an avid cook. Penny will be teaching a selection of classes here at Personal Fitness on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings.

    Penny's outlook –

    Everyone training with me is made to feel welcome. Whether you're a beginner or super fit - I give alternative moves throughout my classes to ensure all levels are catered for. During my fitness career I've made friends for life and encouraged a "family" approach. Fitness is about fun - you work hard but have a laugh at the same time. I'm sure that when you've tried my classes you will want to return for more!


    Rosie

    Hi! My name is Rosie and I have been a fitness instructor for around 7 years, and I have experience in many aspects of health and fitness including personal training, group class training, leisure and pool management.

    My interest in fitness began when when I started training in Pole fitness back in 2014 which eventually led me to coaching it! By the end of 2016 I had completed my Level 2 in gym instruction and had won a national silver medal in the WorldSkills competition in Birmingham NEC, recognising me in the top 2 gym instructors in the country at the time.

    Since then, I have completed my level 3 in Personal Training, Level 1 Strength and Conditioning, along with an array of additional courses such as Nutrition for Health and Performance, Spinning, Beginner Pole Fitness Instruction, Kettlebells, HIIT, and TRX,. You’ll find me teaching a selection of these types of classes here at Personal Fitness!

    I love challenging myself and achieving things people say I can’t, and between 2018 and 2022 I even became a pro wrestler! Becoming a women’s Pro Wrestling Champion in March of 2022.

    What I love even more though- is helping others achieve things they never thought they could! I have trained an array of clients to reach different kinds of goals - from increasing fitness, to weight loss, to PB lifts, to just increasing confidence in the gym. The thing I find the absolute most rewarding is raising women’s confidence in a gym setting, and showing them that they belong in the weight room, in the wrestling ring, and wherever they want to be!
